Industries
What each of them requires
These descriptions come from installations at our customers across Europe. For every industry we point out the processes that are run most often, and what decides whether a batch is accepted by the customer.
01 AutomotiveAutomotive and component suppliers
Drivetrain parts, bearings, gears and fasteners go through carburising and hardening in batches counted in thousands. Customers require compliance with CQI-9, and every batch must have a record of the process cycle.

02 AerospaceAerospace
The strictest documentation requirements in the whole industry. Furnace classification, the cycle of temperature uniformity surveys, calibrations and data recording must comply with AMS 2750 and be ready to show during a NADCAP audit.

03 DefenceDefence
Production covered by a particularly strict regime of documentation and batch traceability. Full traceability of the process cycle is required for every load, along with a record protected against modification and ready to be presented in a customer audit.

04 Commercial heat treatersCommercial heat treaters
A changing product mix and work for many customers at once. What counts is fast recipe changeover, one supervision system for the whole shop floor and a report ready to be sent together with the batch of product.

05 Tool roomsTool rooms
Heat treatment of tool and high speed steels is carried out mostly in vacuum furnaces, in short runs of high unit value. Repeatability of the recipe and a complete record of the cycle matter more than line throughput.

06 Powder metallurgyPowder metallurgy
Sintering in a mixed atmosphere calls for stable gas proportions and humidity control throughout the cycle. A deviation in flow translates directly into the density and the mechanical properties of the product.

07 Heavy industryHeavy industry
Large components of machines and structures treated in furnaces with a large working zone. With a load of that size it is the temperature distribution across the whole chamber that is decisive, not a reading from a single measuring point.
AnnealingHardeningTUS surveys
08 Power generationPower generation and high temperature processes
Oxygen measurement in the flue gas of boilers, glass furnaces and incinerators. Setting the excess air lowers fuel consumption, and continuous measurement of the flue gas composition makes it possible to react to a change in the burner operating conditions.
Combustion controlAnnealing
09 Agricultural and off-road machineryConstruction, agricultural and off-road machinery
Components working under heavy load and in harsh conditions: gears, shafts and hydraulic parts. A repeatable case depth is required despite the wide variety of part geometries within one load.
