SuperDATA SCADA Software
An HMI/SCADA package built solely for heat treat furnaces and plants, linking every sensor and instrument to one central server.
Software
Optimises heat treat cycles from the steel grade, temperature and atmosphere against the required case depth and carbon at case depth.
CarbCALC II is a proven software package that lets the user optimise heat treat cycles using input parameters of the type of steel, temperature, atmosphere and the specifications for case depth and carbon at case depth. It is a carbon diffusion model for gas carburising, the case-hardening process in which carbon is dissolved into the surface layers of a low-carbon steel part.
The software supports computer-aided design of heat treatment processes through user-entered variables including temperature, atmosphere composition, case carbon content, alloy designation, process time and circulation. It calculates boost and diffuse segments automatically and predicts the carbon content below the part surface, so recipes can be developed and reworked before the load is run.
CarbCALC II runs in real time alongside the process and also in replay mode, which allows what-if analysis on an existing process or material. A comprehensive alloy database with common materials is included and custom alloy and part profiles can be created. The result is higher quality with shorter process times.

| Operating modes | Real time and replay |
| Alloy database | Common materials plus user-defined alloys |
| Furnace configuration | User-defined |
| Cycle calculation | Automatic boost and diffuse segments |
Applications
The probe measures and controls the carbon potential in controlled atmospheres, whatever the furnace design.
