SSi PGA 3510 Portable Three Gas Analyser (CO, CO2, CH4)
Portable infrared analyser measuring CO, CO2 and CH4 for verifying, optimising and troubleshooting furnace and generator atmospheres.
Analysers and meters
Permanently mounted continuous analyser measuring CO, CO2, CH4 and H2 to monitor, record and control furnace and generator atmospheres.
The MGA6010 is a feature-rich, permanently mounted continuous gas analyser for monitoring, recording, controlling and alarming the atmosphere of heat treatment furnaces and endothermic gas generators. It continuously measures carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO2) and methane (CH4) using SSi's infrared three-gas sensor, and combines these readings with furnace temperature to calculate carbon potential (%C).
Continuous monitoring of the furnace atmosphere improves process repeatability and creates predictive maintenance parameters: alarms on deviating or rising CO, CO2 and CH4 values give advance warning of sooting, cracked radiant tubes and water or air leaks. Plants working to CQI-9 can carry out the daily generator and furnace atmosphere verification automatically with the included PC software.
With the optional hydrogen cell the analyser becomes a four-gas instrument: the H2 reading is used for nitriding and ferritic nitrocarburising calculations, giving nitriding potential (KN), carbon potential (KC) and ammonia dissociation (%DA) in addition to %C.
